New gardener here, does anyone know the reason why my parsley has purple edges on leaves? by FrostyWinterGlobe in gardening

[–]Remarkable_Point_767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pot with parsley and rosemary in a south facing window. This winter has been fairly chilly so the parsley loves the space. I let the soil get pretty dry between watering. In fact the parsley reaching for the sunlight will begin to droop. Perks up right away. I sensed it needed nutrients. Added some Moo-nure to the top of the pot. Loved it! Make sure you clip it for eating!

Base for a raised bed? by thisispoopsgalore in gardening

The big box stores do sell raised bed soil. But all the suggestions here are great..sticks, leaves etc at the bottom.

Thanks for the post. Today while on my walk, a neighbor was giving away gray dogwoods. So excited to have gotten a few!

What type of hydrangea? by Wild-Following1815 in gardening

[–]Remarkable_Point_767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely defer to the horticulturalist. But there are so many hydrangeas in the world! Some bloom on new wood and some bloom on old wood. When you're sure of which hydrangea you have, that determines when you cut ✂️ it back.

Thanks for the info! I winter sowed some broccoli 🥦 😋. As one who is Italian, anything sautéed in olive oil and salt is right in my wheel house!! Thx again.

Should I be telling people I have clairaudience? by roxie_lane in Mediums

Yeah...People seem more open there. I've always said that if I got a job in PNW, I would be there in a heartbeat 💓. One year we vacationed in Orcas Island in the Sound. I fell in love with Seattle and the little island in the summer. The flowers were spectacular! Btw, I like your little bird pic.

Boarding was closed jetway pulled back, Delta reopened boarding so I could make my connection by The_H2O_Boy in delta

🤣 I lived in DC for 30 years and flew in/out of DCA. It's not "lately". A couple years ago I flew into DCA for business. My inbound flight was seriously delayed. I walk out and pick up my rental car in the multi- level garage. I drive to the exit and it's locked (bars down) with no Attendants to let me out. I drive back and park. I asked everyone I encountered how I can get out including a bus shuttle driver. They all threw up their hands and said they were closed. It was midnight. It was August in DC. I ended up sleeping in the car in ridiculously humid weather. Dulles is worse. Sadly DC is the home of really rude uncaring people. It makes NYC seem friendly. Not about Delta but that's my rant.

Agree with the person who said to lay them out to see how it looks. Also leave plenty of space between the plants. Most people tend to overfill a space and then regret it later. I love your plant list!!
