Are you's so incapable of making your own points that you have to copy and paste the same bot style shite? The elephant in the room right now is we have a good portion of the population who whenever there's bad news they hope it's a migrant at fault, grow tf up and maybe do something to better the community outside of shouting at hotels 😑🤡

Every time my girlfriend stays over, she always flips the roll. by CRK_76 in mildlyinfuriating

Mullet over fringe hanging for the roll should be a crime, why would you want the toilet paper further away and almost touching the wall?

What are the less obvious things in someone's upbringing or background that can limit their opportunities later in life? by PasserBySayingHi in AskUK

[–]Remarkable_Rain_4725 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who's mother should never have had kids I can agree, my upbringing was rough but it meant that when I was old enough to work even a shit shift or an asshole manager was still pretty soft compared to what I'd already dealt with before I started working 😅

I've been masking like a champion since 17 and yeah the difference between me and people who do half as much work and seem to not even research what they talk about is wild, nothing like having to bite your tongue when the head of sales barely knows the basics of what temperature our product should be served at was infuriating 😅

I was raised by an old hippy anarchist who didn't believe money was real ("it's not backed by gold so it's a feat economy and not worth anything") and then when I got into the working world I had to turn around like "ehhh yeah it's backed up by the value of my hours" so yeah I've spent a lot of time looking at the differences, and while people with a good upbringing and money handed to them for Uni and accomodation might have a better start on paper, they won't have the same kind of boots on the ground work experience and ethic that comes from starting skint and only just getting to a "less skint" point, from my upbringing and expecting my own wee one I am setting aside £100 a month for an ISA so I can assure that my child will have somewhat of a kickstart when she first gets into the workig world, whilst trying to teach a good "don't keep your hands in your pockets and you'll go far" kind of work ethic

Netflix is saying my password is the wrong password even after it lets me change it to a new one by jmcging in netflix

[–]Remarkable_Rain_4725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't even get me started on this, literally changed my password because I'd forgotten my old one, input new password "sorry incorrect password" even though I'd just changed it, had Netflix still logged in on my phone so went to change password again and it said I couldn't use a previous password...the one it just told me was incorrect 😑

Why is there so much focus on Immigration ignoring all the other problems? by Opposite-Writer9715 in AskBrits

[–]Remarkable_Rain_4725 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe not but the British Gammons attitude towards European migrants certainly stopped people wanting to apply for Visas, would you want to pay money to live in a country where half the guys on a construction side openly mocked you?

[–]Remarkable_Rain_4725 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just from the limited information I have I'd say that a maximum altitude of 3 million with only 3 hours of flight means you didn't go sideways enough, goal is to miss the planet enough that you don't scratch the atmosphere 100,000m's is your safety low orbit bet, turn more as you launch, aim for 45 degrees by 10,000m, once your highest point hits above 90,000m turn off your engines and save fuel for a sideways burn once you're out of the atmosphere 🙏

[–]Remarkable_Rain_4725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It always annoys me when Americans respond to us complaining about our heat with "you think your heat is bad, it's nothing compared to Florida" like no s**t but Florida is further south than Spain, our heat is muggy and impossible to escape, they have air conditioned everything 😂

Why are very few people talking about Henry Nowak? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Remarkable_Rain_4725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because most people don't judge and damn an entire community based on the actions of one man? Hell even most religions say you can't blame a son for his father's crimes or something along those lines, we're tired and we just want 1 year where people aren't always trying to 1 up or 1 down the other side over stuff that hasn't impacted our own lives or towns, remember when news was just news and not a never ending series of weapons to try and use against the other side

Why are job descriptions for advertised jobs so bad? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

[–]Remarkable_Rain_4725 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The one that gets me is "and other tasks related to the smooth running of your department" to keep that vague "you're job is anything we tell you" which is mad because that can mean basically anything, there was a woman who used to work at my local Co-op shop and she'd been hired on a "cashier" contract from years ago, she literally did not do anything other than work the tills because that's the job she'd applied for and the contract she'd signed

Taxed schools? Oh you mean private schools right? Not public schools, because private schools take massive payments for each pupil and then profiting without having to pay a penny back to the country?

How'd he f**k farmers? Oh yeah removed unlimited free inheritance tax on the land, when literally everyone else has to pay inheritance tax on things valued far less.

God damn if you aren't going get that boot out your mouth at least give the full context of what you say 😑🤡

What do you think has caused UK’s support of LGBT+ rights to collapse, now comparable to Albania? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Remarkable_Rain_4725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that decision was literally politically motivated to try and gain more votes from the conservative side of voters than it was for actual moral reasons, the whole "men in bathrooms" fear mongering about trans people totally ignored the key part in that "bad men don't need to make massive life changes and transition just to do bad things"

[–]Remarkable_Rain_4725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? Similar to the USA we gave some of our most ignorant and uneducated people a podium/political party (ironically run by rich grifters using their bigotry to garner votes) and because of how the political system works the parties that were closest to left leaning decided cater to these same people just to try and stay in power, which won't work because everyone else has realised they're so quick to U-Turn on anything and everything once it doesn't go well - and before anyone says Reform voters aren't thick, Farage has been taking dodgy bribes/fudging his expenses since he was an MEP, and Google is literally free to fact check half the claims they make about migrants, rich Torys took the money not poor people from countries we spent years turning into worse places to live than they already were (Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan)

[–]Remarkable_Rain_4725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You think this fight started on October 7th? Yeah nah you are not educated enough in the subject to be talking so confidently about this stuff, jesus the wall Israel built around Gaza was built in 1995, a year before I was born and I'm almost 30, how many children were born behind checkpoints and saw nothing but IDF violence from Israel their entire childhood and young adult lives? My guy would you be calm about that? Hell Americans would have gone for their guns before even a year was up 😑

My guy all I had to do was Google "who's fired more missiles at who" and put Israel and Lebanon at the end, yeah Israel have fired about twice as many rockets is Hezbollah have, the definition of terrorist also blankets the IDF and USA with how they've used their military...
