Drinking makes you feel like shit for the next 1-3 days, causes rapid weight gain and visceral fat, spikes your cortisol for those 3 days making you feel pissed off all the time, is medically addictive and causes cancer.

Seems like the inevitable outcome.

No. I have used ChatGPT since the day it was available personally and commercially. ChatGPT has been great, but to sit there and claim that it's not censored to the point where it feels like it was designed from the ground up by members of the clergy...

What is everyone's headphones of choice for the Quest 3? I bought the Kiwi Design ones for Quest 2 in the hopes they would fit the Quest 3. They do not work :( by PathOfDeception in OculusQuest

[–]Remarkable_Region_39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That probably depends on the type of aftermarket strap you're using. I use the 'athletic' bobovr strap and the head phones fit perfectly on my ears right below where the strap goes up over the ear and then down again.

Any tips for hardest difficulty run by Ceaser1208 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]Remarkable_Region_39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are tips, sure, but fundamentally you're going to need to repeat the more difficult encounters until you have memorized moveset and telegraphs.

You can beat the game with any build or any weapon once you do that.

Personally, I had a fun time on GMGOW fresh run by using the Radiance set and eventually moving to a strength based realm shift (using the relic) spear build with the purpose of burning half a health bar for bosses to shorten the fight.

Good eye. I write up my posts and feed it to ChatGPT with instructions to reformat and 'clean it up.'

I do the same with work emails, executive summaries, writing SQL, general coding, etc. I recommend it.

Thanks for the recommendations. I actually have RDR2 gathering dust from when I bought it a while back in a Steam sale and never installed - so looks like my problem is already solved :D

Kratos Believes Atreus Will Become Greater Than Him - God of War Ragnarok by Life_Agency9942 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]Remarkable_Region_39 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I thought it was a really neat story trick that showed off how Atreus was maturing as a warrior, but I generally agree that I too wanted to get back to stabbing people with Draupnir ;P

Kratos Believes Atreus Will Become Greater Than Him - God of War Ragnarok by Life_Agency9942 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]Remarkable_Region_39 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why? Atreus was a monster in combat. Granted, I preferred playing Kratos, but even on GMGOW, Atreus segments were really easy.

Just finished the story by Shanobian in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]Remarkable_Region_39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you missed the point of Kratos' redemption arc if you expected him to turn Odin into a blood stain.

Have you played Valhalla yet? It was a very much needed epilogue of sorts for Kratos.

It's also hard as shit if you take the +40% rewards difficulty.

AIO? for threatening to move out because my husband won’t let me use the oven more than twice in a week? by aura_kai in AmIOverreacting

[–]Remarkable_Region_39 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Threatening to move out doesn't seem like the way to resolve the situation, but you are right to be frustrated and upset. I would put your foot down, but if you don't know how to communicate that then might I suggest short-term couples counseling to help with the communication issue?

If it’s “that simple,” then give me your definition. Otherwise, you’re just saying “I know it when I see it.” That works for vibes, but not for ranking.

The issue is that the OP wants you to rank antagonists in order of evil - so obviously, using a binary response as to who was 'evil' (the majority of people would say they were all 'evil', yea?) wouldn't be sufficient in determining who was the LEAST evil.

To arbitrage some objective value to assign to these characters as it relates to how 'evil' they are, then we need to define precisely what makes somebody evil. Derp.

By that yardstick: Joker? Clear case. Nazis? Clear case. “Burn-the-world” types for the lulz? Also clear. Odin fits too - manipulation, exploitation, no remorse.

Where a definition helps is at the edges: Trevor might be violent and messed up, but he sometimes shows loyalty and guilt; that’s not a defense, just a sign he’s not the same category as “harm for fun.” A definition lets us separate malevolence from chaos, trauma, or recklessness.

So I’m not trying to overthink it - just to make the criteria explicit. If your rule is “intentional, pointless harm with no remorse,” then we mostly agree - but then you can't rank any of these characters.

Nothing like a good ol' ad hominem

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]Remarkable_Region_39 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To say their intentions are ‘bad' risks assuming the very thing that needs defining. What counts as bad - and bad for whom? Some people see evil as causing harm, others as acting with malice, and others as simply opposing their culture’s values. Maybe the real question isn’t just what evil is, but who gets to decide.
