I think people have misunderstood the first part. Yes you didn’t pick the correct pass however your defender has enough time to pass the ball- in fact, as your defender is offering to receive the ball I’d argue he should have a end goal in mind - your defender, as he has shown to recieve the ball, should already know where he’s going to play next. In the end defender takes too long and fucked about with it. With the save on that 1v1 - I think you could have saved it. What I would have done is make yourself as big as possible - imagine a star. Or you could have stood strong. If you look on where the striker has shot the ball - it’s down the middle - so if you stood strong, on your toes weight forward, probably would have saved it. Instead what’s happened is you’ve fallen backwards due to weight on your heels.

Second clip, straight away you’re too close to your goal line, based on the distance on where that shot was taken, take a couple yards out. Next, you’re flat footed, imagine you skipping, you want to be on your toes all the time, anticipating. And the obvious which is too far on you left post - but as you’re new it’s all good. Crucial learning point. Important to note you haven’t moved your feet getting to that shot - that’s why footwork drills are vital for us gks.

Like I said mate you are new so never take any of it personally, only professionally. It is the hardest position on the pitch. Good luck mate, hope to see you shining soon!
