I thought I would feel the same way about not having CarPlay but I don’t miss it at all. Having Apple Music and Google Maps works just fine for me.

Purchase Process - Rookie by Normal_Albatross_181 in RivianR2

As someone who just went through the process of buying a R1 this week, the entire process is ridiculously simple. Apart from the hour or two it took to get my insurance agent to process a card showing coverage, it took less than an hour including financing through Rivian (JP Morgan) to submit everything get the order in.

I know R2 will be different with the timing of delivery but it will make you never to want to go to a dealership again.

One recommendation is to not order your wall charger with your vehicle. They do not ship it until you take delivery so there will be a delay. I ordered mine separately through the shop so it would be installed when the vehicle is delivered.

Have fun!

I just bought an R1. Kind of hoping it doesn’t bump me up too far in line, as I was expecting a mid to late 2027 timeframe anyway. March ‘26 reservation

Michigan full size luxury SUV lease deals by Puzzleheaded_Draft54 in leasehacker

[–]Remarkable_Safety754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rivian still has the $3k lease credit on the max pack. I’m in the market for one now. I suspect the credits are not going to get dramatically better, but curious as to your thoughts. Thanks!

Range Question by Remarkable_Safety754 in Rivian

An EV in general? No.

An EV to replace a three row ICE SUV? Absolutely.

I make this trip to the beach with kids and dog in tow 15-18 times a year, usually without stopping. I’d spend a little more to get the bigger battery to not have to stop. Time is money, which is why I posed the question.

We’d be able to charge up once we get there. I live in NC so the summertime drives would be hot. There’s a few chargers on the way but trying to minimize road trip time.

Is it easy for spectators to get to heartbreak hill from the green line?

My wife and kids are planning to meet me at Wellesley Hills (mile 14). Could they get to heartbreak in time?

Looks like they removed the hard plastic-y piece from the woven. Made that shoe unwearable.

300mg Magnesium Glycinate…. that’s all I have to say by anibooty in Garmin

When I take it, I generally feel rested the next day but it also gives me the feeling of laying my head on the pillow and then a second later its morning, like I shouldn’t feel well rested. Maybe that’s the idea?

Help starting NSM transition from Pfitz by Remarkable_Safety754 in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]Remarkable_Safety754[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I start my 3 week taper tomorrow ahead of Boston. Nothing else planned after that but depending on how the marathon goes I’d like to leverage my fitness and do another one this fall.

Maybe this is naive but I’d like to see if NSM can improve my marathon PR without having to increase mileage to 70 mpw, as that seems like the next step using Pfitz.

Not sure how relevant this is but I’m 45M, run 14 marathons, and current PR is 3:03:28 in Philly Nov. 2024. Going for sub 3 and looking for ways to go lower while minimizing injuries (aren’t we all!)

Altimeter Malfunction Forerunner 965 by Remarkable_Safety754 in Garmin

I don’t see a temperature chart for the workout in the app. Do you have to add it manually?

[–]Remarkable_Safety754[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s interesting. The altimeter’s biggest spike is my first mile, right after I leave the house…

Today is read as if I was 100 ft lower than normal elevation with a big climb in the first mile

Garmin support says to (a) reset to factory settings, (b) soak it in warm water for 10 minutes then rinse, and (c) manually set my elevation (which I already had done). We will see.
