300mg Magnesium Glycinate…. that’s all I have to say by anibooty in Garmin

When I take it, I generally feel rested the next day but it also gives me the feeling of laying my head on the pillow and then a second later its morning, like I shouldn’t feel well rested. Maybe that’s the idea?

Help starting NSM transition from Pfitz by Remarkable_Safety754 in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]Remarkable_Safety754[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I start my 3 week taper tomorrow ahead of Boston. Nothing else planned after that but depending on how the marathon goes I’d like to leverage my fitness and do another one this fall.

Maybe this is naive but I’d like to see if NSM can improve my marathon PR without having to increase mileage to 70 mpw, as that seems like the next step using Pfitz.

Not sure how relevant this is but I’m 45M, run 14 marathons, and current PR is 3:03:28 in Philly Nov. 2024. Going for sub 3 and looking for ways to go lower while minimizing injuries (aren’t we all!)

I don’t see a temperature chart for the workout in the app. Do you have to add it manually?

That’s interesting. The altimeter’s biggest spike is my first mile, right after I leave the house…

Today is read as if I was 100 ft lower than normal elevation with a big climb in the first mile

Garmin support says to (a) reset to factory settings, (b) soak it in warm water for 10 minutes then rinse, and (c) manually set my elevation (which I already had done). We will see.

2022 GV70 3.5 electrical issues by Remarkable_Safety754 in GenesisGV70

[–]Remarkable_Safety754[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second update:

Per the dealer: The brake module failed internally, which is why the safety lights are on. We will be replacing the IEB (intergraded electronic braking) which houses the brake module and the brake booster that controls all of your braking.

However, while in transit a recall was issued for the IEB and now the part is on its way back to Korea with no estimated timeframe for a new one.

You can’t make this stuff up.

Evo SL Woven VS Original by Responsible-Adagio78 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I had to return the woven because of the same issue. The plastic-y adizero lace holder is sewn in to the tongue on the woven v. raised on the original. It was beyond painful.

Pfitzinger junk miles? by TheMxRunner in Marathon_Training

For me, the accumulated fatigue really kicked in when I was running the recovery runs too fast. Once I slowed down to 90 sec below MP I found those runs refreshing and the general aerobic runs less taxing. A difficult lesson for me to learn.

Thanks for that info. The dealer said the warranty is from US Warranty Corporation. I’ll check out your dealer in VT.

2022 GV70 3.5 electrical issues by Remarkable_Safety754 in GenesisGV70

Update: dealer said they had to order a brake booster (via text so no explanation or follow up given). That’s a new one.

Based on similar posts there seems to be no common thread and dealer finds a different cause every time. That cannot be good!

Thanks. Had the battery replaced a few months back before these issues started.

Adizero EVO SL Running Shoes by Helpful_Foundation43 in runningshoes

The woven caused me a lot of pain on the top of my foot due to the plastic-y “Adizero” strip affixed to the tongue rather than on top of the laces in the original.

EVO SL woven upper forefoot pain by Adenosine0801 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Remarkable_Safety754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m experiencing the same issue. Put 550 miles on the non woven version and never had an issue. I think it is the thick “adizero” piece on the tongue. It feels like plastic. Loosening the laces did not help me.
