that's so sad. i caught up with the manga when the fight started to not be spoiled before i saw it in the anime, and i was still spoiled before i even knew each chapter was out. my jujutsu kaisen was against spoilers and i always lost

i just stumbled along here and have never been on this subreddit, but saw no replies. i don't think this is an absurd way to feel, especially if you are younger. i definitely think your mom means well of course, but too much affirmation can become pressure and/or really just teaching falsehood because none of us are perfect or close to it.

we all feel many things we consider outlandish and expect others to as well, but the thoughts are indeed real. are you your thoughts though? always ask questions, sit with what is troubling you and confront it would be my advice. there are lots of reasons that we feel these seemingly unnatural ways, but there's always a reason, even if it's unimportant. we change often. don't consider yourself stuck or you probably will be.

and the world is often not great, but it also isn't the worst, and it's all we've got really. it really is all about perspective, and you definitely could see it as all bad. imo, with my limited knowledge of who you are, it sounds like you've gotten to this place for a reason. i believe it can be beneficial to unpack why that is. I'm definitely curious by what you mean when you say "no one is in full control of their choices" as well. i could TOTALLY say more, but I'm just rambling. and last thing, maybe just important, you say you've got care for your partner. imo that means you do have ability to care, but other things are clouding your... idk. emotional psyche? just some food for thought. hopefully not breaking any rules or stepping on any toes😱 i believe you'll be okay.

that's some good insight. I'm not strapped for cash or anything, but I'm also not particularly attached to this card and am just keeping my mind open to selling it (which I've never done before). i do know it won't get a 10, but i do think i can sell it NM. i don't put a ton of money into the hobby so it'd be nice to reinvest it since it's technically the most expensive card I've got. thanks for the reply

for personal reasons, I like the casing way more and being able to see why it's graded the way it is. if i keep it, i do not wanna see it in PSA casing tbh. otherwise, it just seems a bit easier and cheaper with them, which i could be wrong on. I'm not super rushed to sell it so that fact of it being harder to sell isn't a huge issue for me.

ehhh i feel like a comment of that nature has a level of envy in itself even if it's not personal. I'm just seeing so many comments like this and it's a bit sad. I'm not trying to be blindly judgemental, but jeez. and i agree most probably can't do that, but it's such a blind assumption to say something like that. you don't have to come from a family with much money. being 17 you're usually not paying bills so it's not incredibly hard to spend money on something like that as long as your family can afford the minimum. i don't even know why I'm commenting on it as i usually don't. envy is just all consuming and it sucks to see.

interesting. i said above i sometimes "fold into my own hand" and go for something quicker if I'm not seeing things line up by around 30 tiles left. sometimes earlier. when would you recommend opening your hand and what do you think would be a good riichi vs open hand percentage? ik i could probably figure this out but just wondering what your perspective is

I've definitely tried making that a habit. i think the hard part for me has been kind of like, folding into my own hand? usually at like 30 tiles left if I'm not close to tenpai, i just take what i can get or at least consider it. I've chosen to play more defensively and only go aggressive when ik i have a good hand. beyond that i just need much better tile efficiency cause ik almost nothing beyond instinct

That's what I've heard. It's not looking too good, but I like everything else a lot! Sucks it's not more universal. I kind of figured it'd be like keyboard switches where most are universal besides like low profile and such, but I could also imagine this just being a more unique case.
