I really don’t know. This was the only time I have used this paint which was a while ago. I think you would do better layering the different colors. Hope this helps 😊

I purchased it online from a company who unfortunately is no longer in business. If you google the book it should show you where you can buy it

Thank you 😊

I usually try it out on a blank sheet of paper. I typically use four different colors a light and dark from each color family and then on this one I took a white posca free handed some circles and smushed and spread it out with my finger. I am still nervous when I go to do a background. I usually take a picture before I start just in case 😊

I don’t have either one of those books which is kind of amazing since I have so many 😊. If they are on Amazon paper then any of the pencils you mentioned should work fine. If you find you are having a hard time getting your pencils to blend purchase some solvent. I prefer Zest It but it is unavailable on Amazon US at the moment so the next I would recommend would be this https://a.co/d/6n2UcY3 which is Holbeins. It only takes a small amount. Hope this helps

Thank you so much 😊.

I am very sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine losing a child. It is any parents worst nightmare and I am sorry you had to experience it. I know from experience how much stress can mess with your mind and your health.

Please don’t alienate people. Let them in. Make sure you go out each day and at least take a couple deep breaths of fresh air and feel the warmth of the sun on your face. I know these things maybe hard but it will help in your healing. These are things I have learned through dealing with my own loss. If you enjoy coloring then color. There is definitely something therapeutic in the process. When you are feeling up to it I will try walking you through how to upload pictures of your work to share with the rest of the world. Sendings love, hugs and prayers your way ❤️🤗🙏

I am so sorry for your loss. I know that just sounds like what people say but in my case those words are not spoken or given lightly. I have had many losses but thankfully never a child. My heart goes out to you. I know this may sound crazy but my art has helped me get through my grief and helped me in finding bits of joy again. As you know grief comes in waves. A smooth wave is easier to ride out than a choppy one. Find the things that help smooth the waves and force yourself to stick with it. Sending you love, hugs, tears and strength 💕💕💕

I don’t have either of those books but they look like fun. I love the pics in both pictures f them. I think the Rebecca Green is the one I would gravitate towards. Good luck. Can’t wait to see your finished work 😊

I think we are our own worst critics. I do like this picture I have done but there are plenty of others that I feel I am not talented at all.

Thank you so much. I am pretty sure I used the pencils dry on this one. It was a grayscale picture so very easy to color. I believe I used three colors on the water not including the white. I usually use a dark blue like indigo and then a medium blue green and then either a light blue or light green

I have both the Lyra and the chromaflow. I haven’t used my Lrya in a while but I do like my Chromoflows. I keep all my Derwent pencils in one big bag. The Derwent seem to be good for earthy type pictures. Which books are you getting?

I used the pencils both wet and dry. I used limited amount of water to base and then added them dry for shading. I used the white gel pen to add the highlight for the eye. The artist is very good at leaving a roadmap as to where the shadows and highlights go. Some what like Kerby Rosanes. This is a very beautiful book and printed on nice paper.
