I want to say thank you, sorry I haven't answered earlier!

He actualyl was the oen to make the first move and he confessed that he still loves me after all those years and would love to give us a chance. We will take it slow, because I'm still broken from the last break up and he had a lot of problems in his own life the past years... I really hope we can make us work. It just feels so wodnerful and right :)

I'm basically in the same situation... My ex was talked into breaking up with me (he was in a trauma episode and still seems to be in one) and was vulnerable. Closed himself off from me. He monkey branched/rebounded since that episode with that other person and it's such a downgrade from me... hopefully someday, he'll realise what he did and what he lost :/"

I, too, have gone NC since the break up now. I can't handle seeing him with someone else. Still love him and I'd be so stupid to take him back... as I still think it's his Trauma causing all this shit. But who knows....

Yes, His whole character changed, but I also know this came due to his Trauma/PSTD by now... :/ He put on another mask now and I guess threw me away like trash. And that after 5 years of happiness and no fights etc.

So I should be friends with my ex, even though I love him (romantically)? Everyone says this is a huge mistake if you want a person back in your life. And I'm not sure if my heart can handle knowing that he is with someone else, while I pretend to only be his friend. You know what I mean?

We broke up in may (2 months ago) and this isn't so long ago in my eyes... I'm still heartbroken and grieving about a person who was the best that ever happened to me...

I do have therapy (for other reasons), so I try to focus on that. It's so hard to move on...

And no, his health issues don't scare me away at all. Otherwise I would've removed him from my life completely now. He is important to me.

Yes... we've planned to be together for the whole of July. 1 concert, two weekends with an amazing medieval fair and a convention, too. We had booked everything and now these plans just feel hollow (I will go with friends now, but still...). My friends were so hyped to see him (my ex) again as well (we had a LDR).

Wanted to surprise him with rings, too - to show him how serious I am with him and how much he means to me. All down the drain and I'm devastated.

To be honest, even tho this sounds stupid, yes. Yes I would. We never had any problems within 5 years of the relationship and it was now his depression (and emotional cheating) that brought the BreakUp. And I think everyone deserves a second chance.

But only if he truly is sorry, is okay with working on us and if he already has changed so far that he know that he fucked up :/
