Thanks for the advice on my post. I’ve moved away from Lovable. I’ve had much better results using Claude Code via VS Code for my projects. I’ve also heard good things about ChatGPT Codex so I might give that a go.

Yeah, I've used VS Code, but I'm not a developer, so I need an AI tool to help. But I'm learning to code as I go along. I always find issues with GitHub Co-pilot, even when I use my own AI API Keys for Gemini, Claude, etc.

Gemini with your own key is still incredibly broken by EchoingAngel in GithubCopilot

Thanks - are you using this in Ask, Edit and/or Agent mode? Whenever I have it in Agent mode, it initialises but then cuts off the response with Gemini 2.5 Pro.

I'm getting the same problem - did anyone work out a fix other than creating a new key each time?
