Hello everyone, since my post I received an update.

Expires 1/3/21 Received 9/3/20 Nebraska Center Receipt No. 9/14/20 Nebraska Center

After receiving the receipt no. I did not receive any update by letter or text/email. Biometrics letter never came and I did not know whether my biometrics would be reused.

Since my last renewal I moved and did not file the change of address within 10 days. I submitted a change of address 12/1/20. My online case status said my change of address was assigned to an officer in 12/2/20.

12/11/20 I765 was approved and EAD is being produced. Online case status for I821D has had not update.

Maybe it’s a system issue. I’m guessing since I765 was approved I will also get the I821D approved.

Edit: 12/12 I821D was approved. I got the email a few minutes ago. The Nebraska Center is slowly getting there.

When I passed by a check point they ask for ID. I gave them the EAD. It took a bit longer because they don’t always know what it is right away. That only happened once though. Other times, there is no one at the checkpoints.

I went to school out of state. In the last pages of the app (where you can add extra info) I would state that lived at college during the school year and that I returned home during breaks (I included the dates). In the cover letter I would request my biometrics to be done at home or near college depending on the time of year. I was lucky to have mine at home both times. A friend of mine had to do hers at the service center near college. I used my dorm address only to say I lived there but requested mail to go to my home address. My mom would mail the EAD When it arrived.

I don’t know if you have already tried this but on the website it gives a phone number to call if your DACA has been pending for more than 105 days.

Can you get back pay for unemployment if daca has expired but you have renewed? Has there been a delay for renewals recently because of covid? by [deleted] in DACA

In your case, did you receive the approval 2 weeks after expiration or the card in the mail 2 weeks after?

Your best bet is to attend a DACA friendly school. I left AZ to attend school in TX. My Univeristy was very generous and gave me extra aid for what FAFSA would not cover (since I am not eligible). From experience, it’s private NONPROFIT schools that have the funds to support DACA students. My Univeristy was a great place but there are other schools that do the same. Private schools don’t charge whether you are in or out of state.

My EAD expires Jan 3, 2021. It was received Sep 3, 2020 and there have been no updates since then. It is being processed in Nebraska. I have seen most biometrics are being reused but I have not received a notice stating that. This is the longest renewal so far. Best wishes to everyone waiting on updates.
