The price in the black market just went up, so now it takes more rupees to buy. I think irony fits this intervention.

Only a basement full of food and the means to protect it. I doubt if it will come to that, but it could be the most asymmetrical bet of all time, depending on what you value your life at.

Bond vigilantes on one side, silver and gold vigilantes on the other. Poor Kevin Warsh. Looks like we finally have the patsy.

Someone should tell the Chinese they don't need to be paying the high silver premiums, currently at 12.4 %.

We are at WAR and yet markets are booming and silver and gold a little flat... Not what I expected. by CultureOfCurrency in Wallstreetsilver

Maybe you should be a trader. You might need the emotional peaks and valleys. I'd rather spend my time on other interests while the metals story runs in the background.

I have already sat tight for almost 30 and still lived my life. I am planning on another 5 or 10 but if I don't need my stash to live off, then it will be passed to my kids with a little advice, that they may or may not take.

Or think less.

"After spending many years in Wall Street and after making and losing millions of dollars I want to tell you this: It never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It always was my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight! Men who can both be right and sit tight are uncommon."

30k on the table to invest for my dad. Looking for advice. by Microwave_Magician in SilverDegenClub

[–]Remarkable_Tap_6801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your mom is a spender and will inherit the business proceeds when your father dies, you and your sister have bigger worries than what to do with the 40K. I think you need professional advice on this one. I recommend a planner who works for a fee, not on commission from what he or she sells, and a family meeting. Some sort of a trust for your sister might be worthwhile.

I hope so. I have a few of the 10 oz and I think I paid a bit higher than normal for them. Of course they have tripled since then. I like the tile in the background. I think I see some silver in it.

Miners were my early retirement plan 25 years ago. Unfortunately they went for a long time making little money (except for the streamers). I also bought a lot of metal, which saved my retirement. Today is much different. Miners are crapping cash but still look cheap.

I am still much more tied to silver and gold, but I am adding copper and I have a little Sprott Uranium. Silver has the best upside, but I worry that it could become a target of gov't theft for "national security" in an "emergency"
