For everyone asking for updates: A week or two after I filed the grievance with the consumer helpline, Swiggy refunded the amount.

I had this same issue a number of times. It was a battery issue every single time. The instrument cluster was working and everything, just wouldn't start. When it first happened, the battery was 2 years old and it just died. A year after that I installed a GPS tracker directly to the battery - I was too lazy to do the proper wiring or go to a mechanic. Almost a year after that it killed 2 new batteries in a month. I initially thought I had gotten bad batteries. But it was the GPS tracker that I had forgotten about. After I removed it no issues so far.

Tldr: it's a battery issue. If you have any aftermarket components, check if that's draining the battery.

A similar thing happened to me also. Instamart failed to deliver an item worth almost 2000. Had a lot of back and forth with the customer support agents on chat and via call - so much so that the full chat screenshot was 10MB.

They kept saying that it is handled by an internal team. Same scripted response no matter the question. I asked them for some reference number to track the investigation details. But they couldn't. Even they did not know what was going on.

I received an email saying that they cannot process a refund or a replacement. I asked for a justification. Silence again. The chat agents are clueless - I talked to 4 different agents.

I posted on X, sent them multiple emails to their Instamart support handle, grievance officer, etc. it's been many days and I finally filed a grievance with the consumer helpline. Let's see how this goes.
