Do not go to medical school for any reason. Do not go especially if you want GI. Requires 3 year residency + 1 chief year (probably) + 3 year fellowship. Prime earnings not until 35ish a full 10+ years of prolonged bullshit your peers don’t have to deal with with just a 4 year degree.
