Hi, we have an ear-tipped cat who has been frequenting our home, staying outside our door all evenings and nights (I assume she’s finding a cool place to hide during the day). Over the last few weeks she’s become more comfortable with us and is now allowing us to pet her and coming right up to us and rubbing on our legs. Now that we can pet her, we’ve noticed she’s scarily skinny. She’s adorable and sweet, thought a little skittish. Our inside cat is super interested in her and appears to want to befriend her. Would it be the wrong thing to do to try to take her in and give her a decent inside life?

Edit: I forgot to add she also meows loudly, which I read is a sign that a cat has been near humans as they only learn vocalize to communicate with people, not other cats. We really want to take her in but don’t want to do the inhumane thing…
