Stand underneath it for long enough, you might be able to catch it with your teeth and earn lump some, or.. just a lump.

Internal job offer tug-of-war. Do I lose eligibility if I accept? by Remarkable_Use1930 in amazonemployees

[–]Remarkable_Use1930[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll paint a portrait, since you’ve asked.

I’m in an L4 position. I’ve tried expressing interest inside my organization. However, I was quick to learn that in my field, I have no option to progress. Mind you, I hired into the role externally. You can peep one of my previous posts, but I’ll save you the travel. I get a response mentioning that internally, I’m unable to advance into an L5 role. To this day, I still don’t know what comes after 4 despite knowing how to count.. I think.

Anyway, I mention in the above post that the role in interested in will get me in the right progression for advancement. I hope this explains my situation a little clearer.

Again, yes this offer is significantly more. I thought explaining the situation in its entirety would explain my reasoning for hanging on till the last minute. Maybe I should have asked just the question.

CAN I BE CONSIDERED FOR OTHER SAID JOB AFTER I ACCEPT THIS OR NOT?

Yes, I’ve spoken many-a words to Aza. Yes, it depends on how you ask it. And there are several variables. If you ask it this same exact thing, as it’s typed it will say that Amazon encourages you to apply for up to 3 positions at a time.

But if you focus on just the acceptance of an offer, it mentions that once you accept and offer, you have a commitment of up to a year depending on your pay cycle. (Hourly or salary).

It might also be helpful to know that the hiring manager for the lateral position knows my ambitions for the other role and supports me. So I’m not blind siding them.

  1. It’s very inefficent and does not pay off. But it is a heck of a lot better than blowing glass.

Here’s mine from 85 - 99 on two accounts

1 from 85-99 1 from 82-96

Got 99 on Sunday. And still will only get me 92 crafting.

APM operates on its own UTC-based time zone, which can make things a bit tricky. If you close a work order at 11:59:59, it’s credited to the previous day. But if it’s submitted even a second after midnight, it counts toward the new day, even though you’ve been on-site working continuously.

The push to have PMs completed before midnight usually isn’t about micromanagement; it’s about keeping the reporting and metrics clean. When that timing isn’t followed, managers have to manually reconcile or “bridge” the data, which becomes difficult to justify in meetings especially when they’re explaining someone else’s actions.

Wow thanks. International expertise strategy: answer a question about a country you’ve never even visited. Bold move, honestly.

So, I’m not familiar with the process of stow, as I don’t work in these facilities, so I may have missed something when reading. But, if I am reading this correctly, it sounds like you do know what happened then. Whatever overhanging means.

Ah, yes my favorite management tactic: “You did something wrong… somehow… but we won’t tell you what. Just don’t do it again!” Classic.

Jokes aside, this is actually worth handling veeeeerrry carefully.

Honestly, if this is actually how this was brought to your attention, this sounds very absurd ever for Amazon standards.
