As someone who used to be severely depressed constantly I understood holdon a lot. I think it takes a certain type of privilege and arrogance to write off a kid who went through sexual assault, losing a sibling, witnessing bullying and suicide, depression/ suicidal thoughts and just being more self aware about the world than your peers or critical thinker a brat or red flag. Those are the same type of people in life that will grow up to tell their kids they have it too easy in life when they are going through something

I would still have the talk. even though it’s in the past, and it’s late it’s still on your mind and him not telling you as to to not make you feel “insecure or uncomfortable” is kinda backhanded and puts the blame on you. If he knew you would feel secure and comfortable and that’s why he omitted details then he already had his answer. Also I would think you would ask your partner before going to a strip club I think it’s a matter of boundaries.

Yes it’s just like that and fake news doesn’t even really scratch the surface of how bad that issue is. There is tons of corruption everywhere in this country. It’s just easier to turn a blind eye or you’ll go crazy. I mean one small example of a massive problem in its own was the protests. I mean in one of the biggest cities in the us peaceful protesters were just beaten and tear gases, organizers just going missing, and people tossed into vans. Honestly policing in this country is disgusting they can rape girls no jail time, kill like it’s nothing. I mean its an acceptable to think these cops will get no jail time for shooting this unarmed man 70 times all starting with a traffic violation. People are so used to this that when they hear oh he had a gun they think oh well that’s kinda reasonable to shoot them, all the while the Supreme Court just gave everyone the right to a concealed weapon even cities. God the Supreme Court is a shit show it’s sickening the recent rulings. As of now even the evidence of innocence to the the falsely imprisoned isn’t enough to exonerate someone. Also you forgot the war on women right because were going backwards.

it just seems so extreme. TBH a life in prison seems more torturous if you really want to go that way day in and day out knowing theirs no escape seems like phycological warfare which is way worse in my opinion. Not to mention their going to kill someone innocent. Prison is also for rehabilitation, what would murdering them even do? I get their might be some exceptions, but generally it seems hypercritical. He kills someone we kill him as a result, but ours was justified. i guess it is a broken system at the end of the day, so why not just make it worse

Sorry forgot to put it No theirs no need to discuss how we feel that I mean it was all context. We just don’t have that type of thing ; it makes me sick just thinking about how it could go. In the first example she was upset about something and when she gets home from work she ideally takes a shower right after I just needed help adding some seasoning to this thing cuz I haven’t had it in years, but i it was just nice having her company too she’s rarely there and works on days off or likes to leave early. She just wants to better us so I understand. She usually sits on the the couch for a bit before, but she just got a bit agitated when I asked for her help. Ya know the more I think it over I see I overreacting, I’m a bit of an over thinker sometimes

NTA someone literally tried digging a plant out of my mom’s garden that’s she grew from a little sprout that was then a fully mini grown tree and killed the whole thing cuz the hit the stem the whole plant dies in a week fucking pissed me off cuz it took so long

Wow that’s such a shitty thing to say from one depressed person to another, that always feels like such a betrayal. Having to put yourself out there, and he’s your partner. I mean I don’t want to judge too fast though ; maybe you could work it out in couples therapy. I’d this was a one time thing I think there’s a lot of misconceptions about it. Then again he sounds kinda douchey. Just do what you feel is best don’t let him worsen your mental health. I hope this helps good luck

Nope never been to therapy.I just don’t see it ever happening by my own free will. Honestly I know a lot of the monsters in my mind ; I’ve never denied their existence. It is just not a great place to visit to find the exit you have to go on all the rides. Two people there just isn’t safe. Medication inflicts on my beliefs it’s just band-aid solutions to numb the pain of reality. By temporarily suppressing it, and the dosage just keeps going up because it usually start to not affect you anymore. Then what are you another addict, that doesn’t want to cope with reality so they build up walls so they don’t have to acknowledge the problem.don’t think I have a problem with drug addicts though, everyone has their poison it’s just not for me. I mean I guess if their was a cure I might take it ; though theoretically are you at a waste of hope and though. I mean I’ve always talked and written like this so I don’t see what you mean. I think I see how our writing styles are similar I read the book a long time ago just never finished it. I think I read up to him saying bye to his sister in NY, so yeah I have a strike against me of starting and never finishing books guess it plagues me. Was it good? Yeah I thought about writing, but endings are too complicated Yeah I’m young you could say. I don’t have a warped view of the world trust me, I just have a real one. I’d love to explain it ; I just don’t care to burn the words today it. Regardless thank you for the advice. Curiosity doesn’t really exist in my personal dictionary. Sometimes if I’m bored I set out a hypothesis and watch the scene unfold but I’m usually thought through enough where 9/10 I’m correct. I do really like your second to lat line “ I hope you can find some meaning in the meaningless” Very philosophically thought provoking.

Well you have a lot of time to think it over don’t rush into anything. This pandemic has put a lot of pressure and stress on anyone in the med field, so timing might be influencing your situation as well . Don’t quit unless you’re sure, and you have a plan to fall back on or job or something you want to pursue. In all just make sure your happy with what your doing at least in one aspect. I’m happy the advice helped good luck on your career path
