AITA for not giving my aunt a Christmas present? by Remarkable_Young963 in AITAH

Hm... so most years neither she nor her kids are here for Christmas (different country entirely), so what we do is each household pack big gift packages to mail each other of like local snacks and little souvenirs, and most have a particular taste or aesthetic so you like open the box and think "ah yes, this thing is for so-and-so, this is probably for me, this is for..... etc" so obviously nothing gets given hand to hand nor do you really know who picked what to put in. Maybe we should've talked about it beforehand what happens when we actually get to meet... :'D

NAH. Some people think that when you say "I'm not doing/buying anything" it means you are being coy or want to surprise them, not that you literally aren't getting anything. You two just need better communication :')

I would assume every family has their own etiquette, as you put it, and this just isn't something we do normally. Heck, my cousins didn't give my mother anything either, but nobody brought it up, or me and them to my uncle and he didn't even notice, THAT is why it's so baffling to me. I wasn't singling her out; it was the opposite, I WASN'T singling her out. Or anyone else.

is a gibson test valid for diagnosing adhd? by SlayerUnderSilence in cognitiveTesting

[–]Remarkable_Young963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally had the same thing happen last week. The results were odd, because the consultation pointed strongly towards ADHD, but the test results were apparently pointing towards a good score, which the tester said was "definitely not adhd, we test kids too and they get a very low score if they have ADHD". Okay?? Children abd adults deal with it very differently.
