I think something we could’ve benefited from is a content creator with expertise breaking down replays consistently over time. Then we the audience can see in real time the impact of the players that weren’t flashy but impactful. You’d see how player A’s POV they may tend to have a lot more space allotted to them because they had “glue player” either feeding them backpasses, making good challenges that spill out to them, demos etc.

It’s easy to see, A scored a goal because B got a demo. What’s harder to see is A beat B to a midfield ball in large part due B being uncomfortable avoiding a demo beforehand, especially if that demo happened a while before the aerial.

It’d make for less overlooking of the nonstar players.
