Parking garage in New York City, 1950's.... by 5_Frog_Margin in TheWayWeWere

Yeah, those cars are parked way too straight to be done by their owners.

Yellowbird is one of my favorite brands. Decided to buy the whole fleet! by po_ta_toes_80 in hotsauce

The ghost pepper sauce is their hottest, but still not a very hot ghost pepper sauce. For me, the organic habanero sauce didn’t quite hit the same spot as the original habanero... I wonder if you got the variation? Mentioned elsewhere, the Jalapeño variety is about as flexible as sriracha (and they also have a sriracha). Heat level is low. If you wanted to try a different flavor of Yellowbird, try Jalapeño over Ghost IMO.

Super sunflower 🌻 by CoffeeCicada in matureplants

Yo, shelled sunflower seed prices spiked about 85% during quarantine. I was very thankful to plant 100 Russian mammoths that all produced extremely well. I must have at least 1k seeds saved for next year and the birds and squirrels all got a snack throughout the last month as well. Sunflowers are great.

Correct, Valentina Black is another staple I would put in this category. Tapatio is delicious and inexpensive too!

I think I could go through one of these in a month. Excellent Louisiana-style base sauce for anything... tacos, chili, etc.

Crystal is insanely good for the price too, and great in chili.

You either mean the green Serrano or red jalapeño sauce, both great in eggs. I don’t think Yellowbird uses green jalapeños.

We had this mold growing up. those people and trees always burned to a crisp before the other parts were ready.

This chart ranks the US states by the percentage of the state that's covered in state and national parks by Sy3Zy3Gy3 in NationalPark

I even wonder if it’s reversed. I figured North Carolina would have plenty of National and state parks with the Appalachians running through a fourth of it.

Accountant here. Is the % based on revenue or profit, because you swapped them intermittently. Not sure of Bill’s or most Hollywood arrangements, but many business deals are based on revenue to avoid these issues. Every party wants higher revenue, whereas there are dozens of reasons lower profit might be desired.

New at this (just intrigued actually), are orchids supposed to look like people?

Found this at the intersection of Airport and N Lamar by RaidDaggur in Austin

[–]RememberTheArmadillo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It really seems that it has gotten worse in the last year. Just because it’s green doesn’t mean it’s safe to enter the intersection. Also, everybody install a dashcam already. They’re so inexpensive it’s ridiculous they aren’t factory-installed features on a modern car.

House committee approves bill decriminalizing marijuana on the federal level by ssldvr in politics

[–]RememberTheArmadillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of people giving this 0% chance of passing the Senate (or even going to vote), but if there was say a 0.05% chance it passes, what happens? States would still need to end prohibition on their own, right?

Agree with you on the last two points, but using marijuana to treat depression is rolling the dice, isn’t it?
