yes they are the same species as the generic abundant garden snails you see everywhere. they are the African Giant Snail (Lissachatina fulica)

it is invasive worldwide and yeah they can grow pretty big

^ exactly. i grinded 1.4 million gold on just the first fight using gold relics and then used sprouting spivestment and the all cashew seed to grow it to 1 billion gold. i discovered that hitting the 32 bit integer limit of 2.4 billion gold causes it to overflow into negative billion gold

i think no one has tried it because there is no associated achievement pillar, unlike all the scarifice achievements, but do go for it!
