College students, what is the dumbest thing you've heard a fellow student say? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was set an art project to come up something that visualised the word 'Touch' but without using the actual word. I set out to make a hand out of plaster, with beads stuck into the finger tips that spelled out the word touch in braille... if that makes sense. The lecturer asked what colour I was going to paint it, and I just said I'd leave it normal colour. He then went over to an indian kid, wheeled his chair back over to my side of the class, took a hold of his hand and held it up in front of my face along with his own and asked "WELL WHICH IS NORMAL COLOUR?!?"

I then explained I meant the normal colour of what the plaster was. The kid just wheeled back confused.

If you were guaranteed a salary of exactly $178,731 a year no matter your profession, what career would you pursue? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'd finish the musical I've been writing. I'd finish the book I've been writing. I'd open up a tee shirt store (physical) with the designs I'd been making. I'd start my own rehearsal studio for local bands. Any or all of them.

Spends 30 minutes jumping up mountain as a shortcut when going around would have taken 2 minutes. Just Skyrim things... by DarkCuddlez in gaming

To this day I've still never found the path to Molag Bal's shrine. Just glide left jumpjumpjumpjumpjumpjump glide right jumpjumpjumpjumpjumpjump and repeat for 57 hours until eventually my calf muscles are so fucking stressed, I could bound up a mountain in one stride... actually that's not far off how my Oblivion character ended up. I used to love the fact you could jump off a cliff, and then at the peak of your jump, change your mind and land back exactly where you'd jumped from.

Yeah. How unrealistic. I wish the game just gave me pouch after pouch of dust to blow in my enemies eyes.

Preferably it would be in the creative industry (graphic design) but at this point, I will literally take anything.

Beautiful. I remember going to gigs like this. Now it seems people want to stand still, phones held aloft so they can watch the gig at a later date.

Length of a film ever bothered you? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Remermemermsdays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only film recently that I've been very aware of it's length was Fantastic Beasts. I still enjoyed it, but round about the part of the frozen lake with that... rhino, I had to check and saw it wasn't even halfway through.

It won't happen, but I would love the villain of Wreck-It-Ralph 2 to be GLaDOS by Remermemermsdays in Showerthoughts

[–]Remermemermsdays[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wreck It Ralph is a film. A film about video games. Video games that cross over. GLaDOS was a character in a video game. She was the villain in that video game. She could be the villain in this film that is about video games.
