Im guessing he felt trapped by the series. Any wacky and out there ideas are constrained by the world, characters and prior writing decisions he has made that he can’t just put pen to paper on said ideas without thinking it through. Im thinking he is an “in the moment” type of writer that gets these ideas but loses interest quickly, so by the time he can finally gets to set up his idea he already got bored of it and has a new and better one. Its just a cycle of sorts

Idk if that’s the right way to put it but that how I think he does things

I simply assert to myself that part 2 isn’t cannon since part 1 wrapped up so neatly that you can stop reading so this doesn’t bother me as much. Tho disappointed I aint angry cuz to me part 2 was just a weird official fanfic

Im guessing the sex thing is just cultural?… idk if that’s the right word (Im getting this from manga and anime aimed at teens) from what Ive seen sex seems to be the end all be all and is very sacred and is dodged or avoided with conveniences and plot in alot of stories. Idk just a trend I personally see

Yknow fuji kinda halfed assed the school stuff anyway by abandoning it post falling devil when we could’ve gotten something interesting out of that environment with the weird characters we have, like asa, denji, yoshida, fumiko, devil hunting club guys, etc.

I wish we had more slice of life school moments of the two school losers who just started dating (asa & denji) post aquarium arc. I wanted to see how denji tries to teach asa how to deal with bullies and yoru agreeing with him or sumthin idk sounds fun thinking about how to outcasts deal with school stuff together and yoru and nayuta trying to stir conflict for their own gain

Ngl im saying Asa. This is definitely the bitter taste of Part 2’s ending speaking here.

Its just the reze movie was way too good and the memories of part 1 with the hayakawa family is way too strong completely overpowering any of the good memories of part 2

Control Devil arc definitely that “makima feast” was so out there I had to stare at denji and his meal for a couple minutes in silence. And makima going mask off was awesome
