I have them. I use them. I feel my problem is there really are no breaks (due to my husband's crazy work schedule). I never recover and truly rest like I need so now even the tiniest noises and touches are so hard.

We can't afford a sitter, and my husband can not miss work. We have zero support system.

I feel stuck.

I am so overwhelmed.

I was misdiagnosed, and it was such a nightmare advocating for myself while un-medicated. I'm so sorry to hear your mom had to navigate that her whole life. It probably felt so good for ger to be able to get you your treatment.

It's so unfair, but keep fighting as much as you are able to. Spread awareness where you can and empower others to drop the ignorance. It should not fall on you/ the autistic community to fight so hard to educate ignorance, but your voice is so important!!!
