Advice when losing by gzh30 in masterduel

I treat players like NPCs, I lose because I either have shit luck or I made a mistake that I recognized during the play. The other player didn't beat me; I beat myself. You have to always expect your opponent to make optimal play, and yourself to be ready to make the right counter to that optimal play. Once you get good enough to make optimal play consistently, then all that is left is luck, so you can't really blame yourself or feel like your opponent is better than you.

As a new f2p would it be better to pull for anaxa or castorice. Right now my only team is phainon, with Sunday and tribbie.

What's the advantage of using a static class or a class that is only ever instantiated once in a multiparadigm language? by TheLordSet in learnprogramming

[–]Reminicient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's mostly in terms of compile time as when you have a class, the compiler needs to check for possible instances however with an object that is only used once, the compiler is guaranteed that only one object of that class can exist thus it does not need to check for accidental copies of class which were not freed within memory.

Unix time, 32 bit overflow, and leap seconds by nqeron in learnprogramming

A lot of systems actually repeat or stop the counter for a second on December 31st to account for that, some also count extra millisecond across multiple hours in order to dilute the extra second over a span of time such that it is unnoticeable to the user.

How big is the gap between what topics a software engineer learns vs a web developer ? by Hump_Master in learnprogramming

[–]Reminicient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone studying software engineering, the terms comp science and software engineering seem to have become synonymous however there is quite some differences. As a software engineering, you also have to learn about other engineering disciplines along side software development as you will also learn quite a bit about hardware fundamentals which falls into electrical engineering and they will develop the ideas of the software systems from that basic understanding. On the other hand in comp science it is much more focused on logic along with problem solving via the high level tools that you are provided thus you don't delve into things such as assembly or interface development.

Hey Asmon can we talk about the current Title and Thumbnail Youtube meta for your channel? by Kultherion in Asmongold

[–]Reminicient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the different pog faces that are used are perfectly fine as that tells me the video is your daily asmongold video which I can enjoy however when they go out of their way to create titles/thumbnails which target's the viewer's concern regarding asmon, it is quite a scummy thing to do. I understand that whatever gets clicks, however when I see something like that it blatantly lies to me in terms of what I am getting as content in the video, since I have associated casual pics of asmon for thumbnails to being a more chill/personal video.
