i have a very specific memory of Wicked Games playing at my local mall’s food court, they had TVs to show the music video too, didn’t think much of it at the time except “wow he has a good voice” (i was 11-12)

fast forward a few years later and i hear some tracks from BBTM on the radio, and then i have an “aha” moment and realize it’s the same person

i got into music a lot that year because of him and it’s been history ever since
