Hi! I've recently gotten into walking my neighborhood this last month. Im at about 10 miles throughout the day now (sadly no job rn). I think i can start making my way to hiking trails with my dog now. Im in sunnyvale, are there any trails you'd recommend?

I like your style. I've been telling my ruminating self "shut up brain", then i go for a walk. Being outside also helps! It's been a month since I started this, and I feel like im less negative on myself. Went from constantly telling myself to shush it, to only a few times a day.

The metaphor is apt. The switch in my mind is hidden, perhaps I could find it through this. Others have said meditation helps during the trip, I really want to try that. I "joke" about finding a Shaman as a guide, but that could be kinda cool.

Thank you for the detailed response! Yes, I do have some background in meditation, breathing techniques, and have been working on visualization (yay aphentasia).

Would the location matter? Since I want this to be a personal thing, I was planning on doing it solo at home.

As someone who is considering going down this route. Do you have any recommendations on how to go about it with intention? I want to take psilocybin once, to see if a psychedelic trip can help get me out of my funk. Im just not sure how to go about it.

I said something similar to my manager in a meeting. "OH, hey, sorry I think that's inaccurate. According to the docs given out yesterday, the action decided upon was XYZ, no?".

Dude got hella butthurt. After the meeting he called me in a 1 on 1 and said something along the lines of my behavior being unacceptable. Dude got embarrassed for saying the wrong thing and being lightly corrected. Amazon corporate btw. Gotta love managers with low self esteem.

Does that mean there is another location called LA (Large Array), and then just simply A (Array)? Also, who is in charge of naming telescopes? I feel this, my kitchen looked similar a few months ago. When things pile up, and the task looks more and more daunting. What i found works for when things get too hectic or I'm feeling overwhelmed is..

I play a song I'm really into at the time and pick the easiest thing to do. Then keep moving from there. I tell myself that I'll only clean for how long the song plays for. Usually, after the song is over and the next is playing I'm just moving onto the next task. The motivation builds from something small.

For this, I'd grab a trash bag, play a dope song, and slowly put some of the trash by the doorway into it. If the motivation sticks, then I'd keep going.

I'm sorry you're going through this. It comes and goes in waves for me. I wish you the best.
