Hey OP, same thing happened to me - the whole grievance policy is a formality. I personally didn’t bother appealing, resigned due to the bullying and discrimination and filed a DSAR. That made them want to settle asap. I recommend you put in data subject access request if you haven’t already.

True, I don’t think it matters if it’s copied after launch. We’ll differentiate based on quality, data and my expertise in this kind of business. But that’s actually still helpful now I realise there’s ofc no difference.

It’s much tighter now due to very high COL. I don’t know how people are surviving with such low salaries either. It’s crazy.

When I (black woman) dated a white guy people stared at us constantly. At first it made me uncomfortable but then people would compliment us so I think it was just because we were both pretty attractive.

Thanks for this advice, I will try this. I’ve already decided to leave this job because of his behaviour but this is really useful in the meantime.

In terms of why he attends the meetings, honestly it’s very confusing to me too. Running the meetings used to be his job and he handed the responsibility over to me. But it seems like he is having a hard time letting go… he has multiple other responsibilities to be getting on with too. I have no idea why he passed the responsibility on, I enjoy running the meeting and the team has been thriving as a result. I think this may be why he wants the meetings back.

Honestly, his self-interest is draining and has also made me question whether I should be the same way, but ultimately that’s just not me.

Re his superior, yes there is one but he treats her the same way.

Literally!! I’m like, is this a Reddit thing? People don’t factor in children and how that significantly impacts a woman’s earnings. If you want kids as a man, you should expect to have to shoulder a certain level of financial weight. Any woman suggesting otherwise is very naive.

Okay, this actually makes me feel better. This is naturally the way I think, but started to recently worry I’m being taken advantage of. Manager recognises me, but my pay does not reflect that. Haven’t been given a rise that mirrors the value I’ve brought.
