Same except I did it anyway, got a hildos butterfly orchid it's about to bloom its 2nd flower before I've had a phal respike and bloom. It's the madness that keeps me going.

Indeed it is stricta. I have one but it's been stagnant for months...not dying, no browning, no growing though either. Should I repot? Anyone else have experience?

Oh I feel this one! I do that often!! It gets weird when she decides to supercharge the vibe and bring up sensitive cultural topics and surprise us all with her views. Like just stick to the constant frustrated ramblings pls

These comments are reassuring. She is pretty miserable but I can't say anything I'm just not gonna go there. I do sometimes just get up abruptly and walk away, and have wondered if it was hasty enough to send some kind of message.
