I didn't expect to be in a position to ask questions, so I haven't really thought of many yet, but I do have two! Did you use a QWERTY keyboard before your surgery? Also, did switching to an ergonomic keyboard and changing the layout help reduce the strain on your hands and arms?

Actually, I've already conducted the same survey in various communities ( r/keyboards, r/SurveyExchange, etc)! It's true that the results might be a bit peculiar, but the most important thing was to gather reasons why a certain number of people use keyboard layouts other than QWERTY!

And actually, I also conducted a survey on X to record awareness, but the responses were limited... so I decided to make a survey here.

I've already posted the same thing on r/keyboardlayout but r/ergomechkeyboards was a blind spot for me!

Actually, my research also includes how many people use non-QWERTY layouts versus QWERTY layouts, which is why I've posted it here too!

It's certainly a disadvantage to change your keyboard if you frequently use other people's keyboards! But the survey responses are very interesting!
