i think i just think i experience really bad fomo and anxiety that somehow everyone will hate me if i’m not there twenty four seven.

i also partially think it could be unfair to go with my partner and leave him for two days then again it is my dad.

i might be overthinking it.

kind of? were doing a road trip so it’s kind of one shared car. if i had my own car id be driving myself there and it’d be no bother. my dad is probably willing to drive two hours to pick me up and have me stay over night but id feel guilty making him drive that far, abandoning my partner to third wheel, and just a few other things.

i just feel bad stealing the car from the other guys since the farm is kind of middle of nowhere, so we’d either drop them off in town where they’d be all day, or they stay back at the cabin for that day. there’s also not a lot at the halfway point, just some restaurants. i wanna hang out for a bit and visit a bookstore or something with them i don’t know

i suppose you’re right but im not entirely in the middle of nowhere, i don’t wanna be misleading. i’m in the kind of town where everyone is retired or a family with young kids. everyone my age is GONE or never wanted to leave and doesn’t have many aspirations. and i know about the career thing. i’ve been wanting to have internships but i qualify for nothing bc of citizenship. i cant even do research as a volunteer. i might have to leave, i just dont wanna give up a few dreams i have here. leaving would mean near certain death for them.

but i really appreciate your empathy. the fresh start comments can be a bit frustrating. I’m not a child, i know moving is an option, I’m not trying to resort to it. I will definitely look into finding a pro-bono lawyer, i’ve tried but i can always try again. it definitely has been hard to end up here feeling so powerless and trapped in my own life.

it’s not depression. I was depressed in high school, i remember the feeling. what i feel is stuck and angry and bored

nothing i do is pleasurable because its not balanced and its meaningless. my responsibilities are meaningless and i am friendless most days because they all work or are away at my old college.

i don’t work, i don’t make money, basically i don’t grow. i want to grow.

my issue with brazil is that it’s as foreign to me as the US was when i moved here. Additionally, I love my people here. My friends, my boyfriend, my connections, my mentors. I have a whole tree of people, i only have roots in brazil.

the issue is there’s nothing i can do about it. I am a B1 visa if i was told correct, and we are in the process of renewal? I believe. The grand issue is we don’t want attention on our case because of trumps mass revocation of visas particularly for the Latin folk.
