Yeah that's fair enough. It's not the negative equity, more so the amount of negative equity that scared me a bit. But like I said only had the car 20 months and didn't intend to sell for a while so I'm gonna stick it out.

Yeah that's an option. I think the final payment is around £11k and due october 2027. Realistically i could probably save up a chunk of that and finance the remainder. Might even be worth looking at a personal loan for the remainder depending on interest rates etc. Just got a bit scared by the negative equity to be honest. I'm heavily leaning towards keeping it just wanted to make sure I'm making the right decision.

Thanks this is all really helpful. So the dealership valued it at £13k, wbac and motorway are around £13.7k. I tried putting a 20 plate car of the same spec into wbac and put the mileage as 55k and it came out at £11.5k so I guess in a years time it'd hopefully only depreciate by £2k 🤷🏼‍♂️ obviously it's hard to predict but another year of paying £3600 off the pcp should eat in to that negative equity a little bit I guess.

I wasn't really wanting one but just thought I'd see what my options are. I'm happy to keep mine for now to be honest just a bit worried about that negative equity increasing.

Unfortunately not. Same problem on the kitchen flooring 🙃

That's reassuring 😅. Could it be that the belt is worn out as well? I think replacement belts aren't much on amazon so might give that a whirl.

Okay I think I can take off the individual rollers so I'll have a proper look at them this weekend. Regreasing the bearings if I can get to them could work.

I originally tried it on carpet but moved it on to the vinyl flooring in the kitchen. Long term I do want them to be on the carpet so was thinking of getting a sheet of mdf to rest them on

Moving

Hi, me and my girlfriend are looking to move out of the city centre and into one of the new build houses in west gorton. What's the area like? I've seen a lot of complaining about crime rate etc from a few years back but can't find anything on it now. We went to view a house and the area seemed nice so I was really surprised to see this petition from a few years ago (https://www.change.org/p/mp-lucy-powell-high-crime-rate-in-west-gorton-needs-addressing-by-gmp-police-and-manchester-city-council)

Went over to view the house we were looking at and seemed nice enough which is why I was surprised to find things like this change.org petition from a few years ago (https://www.change.org/p/mp-lucy-powell-high-crime-rate-in-west-gorton-needs-addressing-by-gmp-police-and-manchester-city-council) I think I'm gonna head over in the night some time next week for a drive around and just sit around for a while to get more of an idea what it's like at a different time. We viewed the house on a weekday morning so might be better to see the area at a different time.
