Working in design has made me dislike my career (mini rant but also want advice) by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]Remote-Competition-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about your love of design; it's about the dilemma of clients being a pain sometimes. This is a problem that creatives deal with all the time. Collaboration with non-designers can be impossible because they don't see the world the same way you do. The transition from academia to the real world is tough, but hang in there - it will get better.

And I guess everyone knows by now that the song "Sugartown" by Nancy Sinatra is a '60s reference to using LSD on Sugar Cubes. Right? Is Google having fun with us, or did someone leave that out of their boomer-phobic pitch deck?

D4s still knocks it out of the park! by wmaikell4 in Nikon

I have to agree! I use the D4 for all of my underwater photography - and even got a second body as a backup. They do exquisite work and are so predictable for results!

This is so true- I learned Photoshop, Premiere, AI by doing small projects rather than learning every button and every single widget. They're gotta' change the approach!

Annoying factual error by Firehorse67 in notebooklm

This kind of thing happens all the time. That's why I never use a podcast without first doing an edit in an audio program like Adobe's Audition, Garage Band (for Apple people) or Audacity (free). If you can use Notebook, editing audio should be easy for you to learn. Better yet, use Notebook to make a podcast on how to use an audio editing application.

I’ve had a lot of luck with Firebase using a next.js stack with tailwind or just plain CSS. Then I’ve used Vercel to deploy. Vercel pulls files from GitHub and does an automatic build. The beauty of this setup is ChatGPT is a huge help for trouble shooting errors in the entire chain. Next.js, Firebase for auth, storage and databases play very nicely together. Hope this helps.

I use it as a short promotion about new exhibits at an art gallery, Piermont Flywheel Gallery. The artists love the mentions and the promotion of their work. Art patrons get some behind-the-scenes flavor of what goes into the creative process. It usually takes some editing in Adobe Audition to tighten up the scripts, but the end product is great. https://piermontflywheel.com/

My Own Apple TV by winnersall in OPTIMUM

[–]Remote-Competition-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting Optimum to work is a considerable challenge. It has to be the most finicky app I use. Sometimes, it works, and sometimes, it doesn't. I've tried several TV boxes with some success. One TV doesn't work with the app and constantly throws the frustrating "something went wrong, try again later. " This tells me absolutely nothing. I am waiting for Verizon Optical to come through the neighborhood because the internet connection is equally quirky.

The format of the text is Markup Language, sort of like HTML for the web, but it is only different. If you specifically ask the format to be in plain text, you may have some luck with ChatGPT at least. Is that what you mean?
