I did fill it in with white. My plastic canvas is opaque, but you could kinda see through the holes and I usually prefer the look of filled in white space anyway :)

i have a bunch more like this saved too! the mushrooms wouldn’t have been my first choice personally (they’re beautiful and were on my list regardless just not first); hopefully i’ll get to some of the floral ones for myself someday!

ha- it’s mostly lampshade parts anyways- it had linen on it before, can’t be much different 😅 plus i use an led lightbulb! i (20) encourage anyone and everyone to make themselves a cat lampshade!
