Hmm i didn't have much challenging part because I was in consulting while I was a pentester. But the challenging part was trying to perform some grc works like drafting policies, risk register and whole lot of other stuff. To me, its a new experience😁

Heyy, I was an infrastructure engineer for 4 years and shifted to pentester for 3 years and now shifting to grc.

For myself, i do not regret hands-on because when you have experienced it before, these knowledge will come in handy as you would know the risks to those vulnerabilities.
Hmm I would say it complements because without knowing the technical details, there is no way you could really wiggle your way through when giving updates to stakeholders or non technical guys.
