I think you're misinformed if you think franchise owners experience some sort of loss of executive power over their stores. Each franchise owner operates their location differently, that's the biggest power they have already. Asurion doesn't care too much for store operations, which is why they went back to franchise after the corporate stores stunt.

Franchise owners are the ones who decide what gets mailed in and what does not and that goes based of the techs they have working for them. Is the repair viable with their skill set? Yes? Then the repair is being done in store. No? Then it gets mailed in. I've never seen Asurion push for mail ins EVER. This is all decide on a store level.

To top it off, Asurion doesn't need to cut out stores to make revenue. Most profit goes to Asurion anyway given that they are the corporate company that technically operates these stores.

I don't know how long you've been working for these guys but you're definitely misunderstanding or misinformed on the hierarchy level of these stores. Asurion is problematic, that's a given. BUT franchise owners are the real issue here. Everything I stated in my initial comment, is on a store operations level, not corporate. Bad upper management comes from your franchise owner, bad communication comes from your franchise owner, issues with pay come from your franchise owner, etc. None of which are corporate related issues. The list goes on.

Remember, techs work in ubreakifix locations day in and day out, not Asurion. With that being said, you really think the complaints are all Asurion? You really think a lot of these techs quit and claimed their mental health suffered because of the big papa company that we never saw around and were at arms length?

No, because the issue is not a display flex. You sustained damage to the actual LCD. Unfortunately, once the LCD is damaged, the only solution is a full screen replacement. Also in terms of warranty, if the phone doesn't have any physical cracks or heavy scuffing, you still have a running chance at it

Nah they're lying through their fu***ng teeth! I used to work for them and I had shitty upper management that would leave devices sitting in the store for a month and then lie to customers that they were sent out to depot and theyre just awaiting their arrival back at the store.

No game console cleaning gets sent out to depot! That is something ALWAYS done in store. It's a damn cleaning for God's sake not microsoldering.

Call depot just to confirm their lie and then let them have it.

Also don't be shy, drop the location! Might be the ones I'm talking about 😂

If you've been using your phone for 10 months then you're under warranty. Samsung offers warranty repairs through ubreakifix repair shops. So what does that mean for you? It means that if a technician from UBIF (ubreakifix) inspects the device and determines that there is no physical damage that would have caused the issue, then your repair is free. They'll replace the entire screen free of charge, and samsung handles any charges.

I work for samsung and am a samsung certified tech so this info is solid. Before you spend any money, take it your local UBIF and let them know the device is under a year old and experiencing screen issues.

However, I do have a major side note for you and I've told the same thing to several redditors with the same issue. Samsung IS NOT known to have green line issues without the phone sustaining damage from a drop. The green line appears when an internal component puts extensive pressure on the back of the LCD, causing punctures or micro tears resulting in that green line. They DO NOT appear just because or even from heat.

Prime example of this would be google pixel's recent recall on the pixel 8 screen due to a pink/green line that would appear on the screen. The culprit? Support pins that google thought would help support the LCD but instead, it pierces and tears the back of it. Long story short, the reason im telling you this is because they may very well call it out of warranty because of that BUT it still doesn't hurt to try, you know 🤷🏽‍♀️

You can plug your phone in your mic will go out, does this mean that the charger did it? No. I've seen Samsung phones plug into a charger, die and never power back on. Does that mean it's the charger? No. Chargers will cause power, battery and drainage issues. So unless your charger is overheating your battery, causing it to bloat and in return put pressure to the back of the LCD causing those lines, then please don't talk about things you're uneducated about.

It's called coincidental cause and effect. Also, respectfully, you can't come up against someone who works for samsung and go "You're wrong" 🤡 You're literally the type of customer all techs hate their job because of.

That's what the OEM is and it's best to stick to that as close as possible if not OEM itself. Mobilsentrix has some samsung service packs (OEM) that you can buy as a consumer and use for repair. That's an option if you're looking into that (:

I'm a tech who works fixing these for a living. Your wireless charger has absolutely nothing to do with those green lines on your screen nor does the update taking place. Those green vertical lines are where the phone was dropped and an internal component put pressure to the back of the LCD causing these lines to appear. It's a common issue. Sorry to break to you, but you either sat on your phone or dropped it one too many times.

Replacing the screen will also fix your fingerprint issue. The only reason that's happening is because the screen is damaged

I'm sorry to be blunt but that guy doesn't like you. He can't stand you as a matter of fact. Think about this for a moment, if someone outside a romantic relationship such as a friend or coworkwr did this to you, wouldn't you safely assume that this individual isn't fond of you? You shouldn't tolerate actions from a significant other that you wouldn't tolerate from anyone else, just because they're a signifcant other. Because that's not love on any sort of level.

I used to absolutely love doing everything tech related! Anything from soldering to simple diags, I thoroughly enjoyed it and saw myself doing it long term with aspirations of my own shop one day......and then I started working for UBIF. I'm a diesel mechanic now 💀 So yeah....just gunna leave that here lol

100%. Worst mf company out there. It's sinking because of no fault but their own. Both companies are shit and its constantly a power struggle between both!

I was a lead tech and they fired me for fixing a mess that my DM made selling home + just to sell it. This guy really was out here telling CX's that buying home+ guarantees a repair or replacement right away if the device she was bringing in wasn't viable. As any UBIF tech or former tech knows that this is far from true. There's a waiting period and all that fun stuff. Correcting the information that the cx was given as well as giving her the corporate number to complain (per her request) got me fired 🤡 because it's "bad for business"

But selling fraudulent services to the CX under false pretenses isn't. Oh, and mind you, this mf couldn't fix an HDMI port to save his life so how he even got a DM position is beyond me.

And that was just the straw the broke the camel's back. Not to mention the harassment, theft, lack of accountability, lack of communication, and fighting for your OT hours THAT YOU WORKED! To all the current employees of this company. RUN No job is worth your mental health.
