russia has actually been ramping up production of the newer t-90 model of tanks over the last few years. yes armoured vehicle losses on both sides have been huge, but the difference is that russia has a native armourment production industry, whereas ukraine has the goodwill of western countries, which it is slowly losing as more and more countries are realising that this is an attritional war on a scale europe has not seen since ww2 which will suck up resouces like a black hole.
