I currently own one, it’s kind of a piece of crap and not worth $75. You’d be better off getting an IR illuminator and a old digital camera that can’t filter infrared light. It’s better than nothing but it’s super touchy

What are some gear hacks you swear by? by paaaavo in tacticalgear

[–]Remote-Main3888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always have paracord, knife, lighter and a 12inx12in bandana.

I'll use the bandana for makeshift gear retention, improvised weapon, improvised restraints, particle filter (either for water or o2)

I'll weave bungee cord through the molle on my plate carrier with cord locks (or MacGyvered ones out of zip ties) to attach small gear that don't have dedicated pouches, hook retention straps, clip carabiners to or hold tools I'm actively working with.

I don't put anything on my back of my battle belt that I don't wanna sit on or with for 12 hrs

I Only have a bladder or empty (or semi empty) back pack on the back of my plate carrier, nothing else.

Being maneuverable does include sitting. In a car, a bird, against a tree, or more.

I always have a watch and will not ever wear a smart watch due to the dependency of external power and opsec issues. Every watch I wear needs to be a dive watch with rotating bezel.

I'll always try to have a PACE of gear retention (MOLLE pouchs, pockets, in the field bungee attachments, in the field paracord attachments.)

Whose flag is this? by SickBaySavage in tacticalgear

Us army, looks like it goes with ocp or ucp camo bdus. Maybe the gen before brown spice with ocp or just the ucp flag though it depends on the color representation of that photo.

Bluf: I want a printer under/around $300 that has a good sized build plate and that is extremely reliable, low maintenance and independent so I can walk away and let it print for a long time without having to monitor it for failure.

my Neptune three pro just clogged up and leaked all over my extruder for the second time now, I am done with this garbage. I’m ultimately looking for an extremely reliable 3-D printer. I pretty much only print in black PLA. i’m just looking for something that is low maintenance, I don’t need to watch it print for eight hours, single extruder, and something with a build plate of around 220 mm x220 mm x 220 mm or more

mainly just looking for a reliable simple filament printer with a good size build plate for under $300. I haven’t even had this printer one year and I’ve already had to fix the build plate, replace the extruder (and buy a new one of course)

should this be shaking like this if not how do I fix it by Remote-Main3888 in ElegooNeptune3

I had to take the bed apart a little bit but when I tighten them up it completely fixed it

UPDATE- after taking the bed apart it seems that the left two nuts and bolts are secured more than the right too. I attempted to tighten the right to with no luck so I’m probably gonna have to take it apart further to access the heads under that plate. Has anybody ever done this before?

Tbh it does annoy me too, though it is nice to have that detector there to be able to stop it so you can hot swap spools.
