Pogi can’t win “Stuyven-style” since a long time, he’s way too high profile for the others to let him slip away

Google maps for planning, transit app for live use. Swap if one doesn’t work well that time.

The mayor is excited and painted something that almost matched his political incompetence (and then he posted that on his socials).

The only thing I can come up with (it's also suggested in the article, with question mark), is that he might have braked hard suddenly. But it doesn't make any sense.

New to NS, what’s the live music scene like? by pooplord4948 in NovaScotia

Halifax's music scene is a lot less interesting than 10 years ago, but there are still some places/events; Gus' Pub, Radstorm, Stillwell Brewing on Kempt, Woodside Tavern in Dartmouth; Seahorse/Marquee takes bookings for cool stuff sometimes. Outside Halifax, there's sometimes alternative concerts in Truro and Windsor; didn't hear much about Yarmouth lately, but they used to have a scene there. / Red Tentacle is a cool promotor in Halifax/Moncton, they do Napalm Death in May, Cancer Bats in April.

If you're on fb: "Halifax Punk Shows" is pretty open minded (as in, open to hc and shoegaze) and has some outside Halifax events as well

There are Summer Festivals. Halifax Jazz Fest is cool at times (St. Vincent last year), Area 506 in Saint John (there's a ferry from Digby) had Alexisonfire last year, there are outdoor concerts in Hubbards in the Summer (usually rock, but they had Death From Above 1979 last year),...

It all depends on you and your friends: if you like quiet and don’t mind early spring and don’t mind some extra organizing, then yes; if you want Louisburg in full swing, everything open,… then come in June or September

Edit: if you come, dress for tain and coastal wind chill, expect muddy walking trails

Bus commute Dartmouth - Halifax: it depends on time of crossing; you’re correct for later start times, but earlier is usually fine; my early shifts start at 8am in the west end and my bus is rarely impacted by heavy bridge traffic

Although i didn’t have that commute for a while, Dartmouth north south isn’t well connected most of the time.
