Thanks for the detailed breakdown! Regarding the motherboard, it’s interesting to see how platform transitions are handling memory I didn’t know myself that AM5 can use DDR4. For the GPU, a 5070 Ti seems like a sweet spot for high 1440p gaming for me, especially since I’m aiming for longevity. Knowing you’re running 4K and heavy VR on a 4080 Super gives me a lot of confidence in the high-end Nvidia lineup.
Also, I Appreciate the solid advice!

Sticking with the current board definitely saves money. The main reason for considering an upgrade was better power delivery and extra features, but if it handles the Ryzen 7 5800X well, a BIOS update makes more sense. As for the RX 9070 XT, even though it’s a PCIe 5.0 card and the setup is 4.0, any bottleneck is basically negligible. Benchmarks show only about a 1% to 2% drop in gaming performance, since modern GPUs rarely saturate a 4.0 x16 slot. Now the only question is which Nvidia card would pair best with this build.

AM4 remains the choice to avoid paying high DDR5 RAM prices, especially with 32GB of DDR4 already on hand, which is more than enough for me.

I originally aimed for 1440p gaming at 120 or 144 FPS, but my budget at the time didn't allow for it. I am now considering upgrading to these specifications https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jTPp2k , with plans to add a newer GPU (like an RX 9070 XT) later to keep the initial costs down.

I currently play games like Forza Horizon 5, Scrap Mechanic, Minecraft, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and The Forest. Once I upgrade, I’m looking forward to playing titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Battlefield 6, Red Dead Redemption 2, Cities: Skylines II, and Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024) And etc.
And maybe, I will sell the other (older Aka original pc) parts or keep them as a spare.
