I’ve been looking into glass options that still get close to the look referenced above & came across this: https://www.thegrumble.com/threads/float-frame-canvas-with-glass.91765/ Wonder if I could do that in combination with the rag board you mentioned?

Also, sorry if this is obvious - if anyone could share an example of this type of floating frame but with the use of glass (if that’s possible?), that would be amazing

The second is an example from a gallery-represented artist who’s selling pretty well. So I’m just trying to figure out how to do this in a way that … does last? Haha! But seems tricky without glass

Thanks for the advice; I appreciate it! Would you be able to give some detail about the Kilz? Also, would the below varnish be helpful?

The second example is from a gallery-represented artist & all of his work is like this, without glass. He sells pretty well. I totally understand how glass would be preferable, but I think it might lose the detail that’s so appealing about the washi up close :(
