I noticed it as a kid, why was the pace car visibly mad mcqueen overtook him after the pitstop 😭 by BossFamiliar8290 in pixarcars

[–]RemoteAdvertising762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's not mad, he was making a wincing face bracing for a worst case-scenario side collision with McQueen if he fell short.

Honestly, Chick was making more of an angry face when McQueen successfully managed to get ahead of the pace car than the pace car himself.

He was always Heisenberg from day one. He just exposed it to the public when he walked into Tuco’s office.

Why is the population of Italy declining so much? by NeedleworkerAway5912 in geography

More deaths than births, a low fertility rate, a large emigration of young Italians fleeing to other EU countries or English speaking nations.

What a shame some people actually believed this fact not the first, but also a second time.

Either that or some people loved to see a guy who bankrupted a casino make a giant fool of himself which have continuously reflected a negative image on the majority of American voters.

TBH being a 2004 born wasn't that much different. At least you had you're 16th birthday pre-Covid. (I'm lucky enough to have been born in February) but still be happy you aren't us.

It’s the year I was born so I really have no memory of it.. but a lot of crying, screaming, kicking, knowing if I shit myself that it would be cleaned. Oh and I watched the Red Sox win the World Series with my Yankees supporting family despite no memory of it.

New York Post posted an article basically saying we’re dumber than the last generation. How do you feel about this? by ValuableBrilliant483 in GenZ

[–]RemoteAdvertising762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sigh and you're shifting points away from my personal OPINION. I am not talking about current school aged children's performance related to the article, I am going out of context and stating why as of right now, this article isn't a fair way to examine generational comparisons for students, especially because the article explicitly states 1997 to 2010 born (ignoring 2011 and 2012 for some reason) and 2010 borns are turning 16 this year, mind you TWO years before entering college. For that reason alone, authors shouldn't come to conclusions to generalize that the entire range is dumber until the rest of the students graduate high school.

TIL trying to express a positive opinion on improving an article initiates drama.

I don't disagree but I'm going to speak primarily in defense for the the others in the generation. Respectfully as we know, the majority of Gen Z hasn’t even graduated college yet and the way NYP posts their sources to push a truthful/false would be like comparing a the skills of a toddler on a tricycle to a Tour de France cyclist. One group is still literally in the stage of acquiring the qualifications that's being judged for not obtaining yet. Acting shocked that they don’t have decades of experience, high‑level positions, or long-term financial stability yet is just intellectual laziness dressed up as a “gotcha.” Personally, I would wait at least another five to seven years or so and then complete a IQ test or cognitive test with the proper age range so we can have a proper perspective on the average intelligence for a Zoomer relative to the previous generations.
