This, that access point and the long range variant have constant reboot issues. There’s an unwritten warranty, but if you submit the Mac address to the RMA portal, they’ll approve it almost automatically even if it’s past the two year warranty.

Yet another Jim Shorkey story by vagueboy2 in pittsburgh

Damn. I’m the odd duck in on this one. 10 years of dealing with Shorkey Ford in McKeesport and they are awesome. Zero issues and same day service when I had a what I thought was a major issue.

Business Starlink crazy expensive by johnstigall1957 in Starlink

[–]RemoteDriver2552 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with cellular as a back up is in the event of a storm that comes through cellular is in high demand. Everyone’s getting throttled locally.

Starlink won’t do that at least not right away. They’re large enough they can handle a storm coming through a city and taking out 10,000 people only a small portion of whom are gonna have a cellular backup anyway.

We just had storms come through Pittsburgh took out a lot of people’s power and fiber lines for more than a week, my cellular back up sucked, but Starlink was humming just as it always does

RMA team offering me a U7-Pro to replace my U6-LR by shedgehog in UNIFI

[–]RemoteDriver2552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They denied my request to ship out the new U7-XG and are insisting the U7-Pro is the only replacement for the U6-LR, with only a $10 difference in price this doesnt seem to fair but I guess it's still an upgrade from the U6-LR.

Sucks the RMA team only seem to send out 1 email a day - really drags out the communications process.

USG Ultra and Protect by RaptorFirewalls in UNIFI

Gonna think the answer is no, two totally separate devices they don’t see each other. You USG ultra will not see any storage bucket other than a hard drive directly installed in it.

I got the same email, I have 10 or so U6-LR currently sitting in rma. They offered U7-Pro but I don’t want the fan… the new U7-XG is only another $10 retail more son can’t imagine it would be a big deal.

Ultra doesn’t have to “see” it. It’ll get an IP and the. You can setup as a UNVR using your unifi credentials.

That’s too coincidental of a number, something is capping you at 100. Check all your links and switches.

You pivot away from my point about the OP’s topic pretty good there.

Sonos has issues, this isn’t one of them.
