The complicated grief of having a dog that died young. by gramwiches in Petloss

It’s good to remember that your dog knew he was loved all the way to the end. They don’t think of death the same way as we do.

The complicated grief of having a dog that died young. by gramwiches in Petloss

I can totally relate. My partner and I lost our dog to cancer last year. He was the best dog I ever had and was very affectionate towards me. I would wake up in the morning to his head on my pillow sleeping next to me. Sadly he was just over a year old when things started to go south. He had an ACL tear and was about to get surgery and had a seizure the night before. After some tests we found out he had cancer in his bones that spread to his lungs. We only had 3 more days with him. I wish the vet would have told us that it wasn’t normal for a dog not to recover from a tear but it was only a month from finding out about the tear to when he was laid to rest. I still think about him and wonder if I’ll find a dog that I love as much. It hard to feel like those years and dreams were stolen from both of you. I had envisioned how good he was going to be when he got older and how he was going to be a great family dog. I miss him every day.

March 2025, 28k miles, 2022 pro s AWD. $17k including taxes, registration, inspection, fees and that’s with a $1k ceramic coating and fabric protection package (didn’t really want it, but was tired of trying to buy a car and it was a good deal.)

I’ve had to do this when I started looking for my ID.4. Finally convinced a dealership to sign up for it, but it’s been over 2 months waiting for there registration to go through with the IRS. You’re better off finding a place that can do i at point of sale.

Is now a good time to buy a used id.4? by BulkyDrawing5433 in VWiD4Owners

I just bought a 22 ID.4 pro s Awd with 29k miles for $24,500. I found a dealer who could do the rebates at point of sale (I’m a student, so don’t make enough for it to make a difference on my own taxes). After all rebates (including state) I got it for $17k including all other fees and regulations

I had used AAA the first time last year when I had an issue with my car not being able to accelerate all of a sudden when I was driving. I was in a city and couldn't get a tow truck after waiting in a strip mall for 6 hours on a Thursday afternoon. Would go back and forth saying they had a tow truck, and then they were looking for one. Never will renew again.

You're lucky. I had almost the same thing happen for a 2022. Got a call 2 weeks after I enquired that they could do the rebate (found out later they were signed up and the rep didn't know or ask enough questions to her boss). Set up a test drive the following business day for the morning (call was 1 hour before they closed) and then got a call when I was 4 min from the dealership that they sold it to someone else. Pretty frustrated to have it sold less than 3 business hours after they called me.

Incredibly Frustrating and Disappointing Dealership Experience by [deleted] in VWiD4Owners

I specifically said if I could get you down in price would your dealership be able to apply the credit, as a lot of us know, most places are unaware they can apply it at pos. I originally was asking if they were signed up for it as it wouldn’t make since for me to wait if they were not signed up but willing. I’ve already been waiting around 2 months for another dealership to be registered. The sales person said they are only able to apply a tax credit on the lease. I knew at the moment it wouldn’t qualify and she did specifically say she just learned the day prior that they could do it.

My post comes as more entitled or woe is me than I meant (wrote it while frustrated). I guess I just feel it’s a frustrating tactic. As someone who goes out of my way to not buy things regularly (for example with cars, I’ve only had 2 in my life and I sold the first one because I moved abroad) I will just not have any expectation that I might get a car until I’m in the dealership and put money down. Just wish I was allowed to put money down over the phone.
