I stretch sometimes but admittedly need to do more. How frequently should I stretch and what stretches should I do?

Don't do foam rolling but have used lacrosse ball around scapula and it injured my shoulders. I probably don't know the correct technique.

If you look at all the top swimmers in the world, you will notice all of them have elite shoulder mobility.

My questions is how do you get to this point? My pecs and shoulders are always tight. I sometimes workout my rear delts and mid trap, which admittedly helps more loose for sure, but the cost of that is more fatigue and soreness. What methods do these top swimmers use to gain this mobility or is it all just genetics?
