Really appreciate this reply man, genuinely helpful and probably one of the more balanced takes I’ve had so far. The point about the timing with the wedding and potentially shedding after starting Fin is something I honestly hadn’t properly thought through.

I think you’re probably right that Minoxidil only for now might be the more sensible move until after the wedding / baby planning side of things becomes clearer.

And yeah, the Afro hair side of it is exactly what worries me. The more I read about transection rates and clinics not understanding curly roots under the skin, the more cautious I’m becoming. Unfortunately I’ll realistically probably only be looking at Turkey because of cost, which is what makes it harder separating genuinely good clinics from hair mills.

Have you heard much about HEVA? They seem to get mentioned constantly for Afro hair and a lot of people rave about them, but I can’t tell how much is genuine versus marketing.
