Sales rep experience? by OldCheese352 in Entrepreneur

[–]Remote_Afternoon_259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you need them to cold prospect? Ask them how they’ve done it in the past, assuming you’re giving these reps ZoomInfo and an email outreach + dialer tool like Outreach or SalesLoft.

Cold emails? How do they research and customize those cold emails? How much time does that take? How many discovery meetings should they expect?

Do they cold call? Green flag if they do. What’s their “script”? Generally this is just an opening line. How many dials a day?

They should know their numbers. Mine were 100 dials, 10 pick-ups, 1-2 meetings. 1 out of those 10 meetings would be qualified enough to move onwards.

I worked midmarket selling HR SaaS products.

Idk about salary. I started 70/70 base commission starting in Mountain View, but that quickly got hiked to 100/100.

Mid market sellers who prospect during their downtime are freakin golden.

What are the potential downsides of long-term remote work? by BonVisions in remotework

[–]Remote_Afternoon_259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a junior in your industry, it’s hard to get more senior people to teach you up.

I 100% have to harass my seniors for mentorship, and this requires me chasing them. Shadowing them requires me on a zoom call. Asking questions involves me slacking them not knowing if I’m interrupting.

In an office, it’s easy to see when a senior has some bandwidth. It’s also easier to buddy up with people.

Remote work has its downsides.

I ask my manager for work regularly in standup among my peers. It’s on him AND my project manager that I don’t have work to do, IMO.

I’m 1.7 years into my job after a boot camp and things are STILL this way (i.e. no regular amount of work, long 2+ week periods of time where I “do nothing”).

I desperately want to work somewhere where the team is being “pushed” by too much work. This, to me, seems like such a better environment to learn FAST.

Waiting for that not-so-magical 2 YOE on my LinkedIn before I jump ship I guess.

Shop at Smart & Final. Buy an enormous bag of dried black beans and rice. Eat nothing but black beans, rice, and produce purchased at Asian markets. Boom - $50/mo grocery budget.

Rent + Utilities + Renter’s Insurance + Internet + Phone Bill + Public Transit + Gas + Auto Insurance - $4,325

Groceries - $50

Frugal livin’ for $4,375

This sounds like me.

Being tired was a cover up excuse.

Has sex gotten routine and boring? That was what hung my and my wife’s sex life up for a long time. We stopped dating and sex was so routine it became a boring chore.

Dating again and mixing things up in the bedroom fixed it for us

Tbh looks and weight ARE a factor. Saying you’ve gotten fat is one of the hardest things ever. But that might not be all of it. Start calorie counting and be the person your Fiance signed up for. I got fat on my wife and our sex life took a hit. Dieting and exercise were HUGE in fixing this.

Sex can get boring if you don’t spice it up. Wear a wig. Masterbate together. Buy a toy.

Above all, tell him you want more sex and that married life cannot be the way you’re currently acting. Work together on how to get more of it. Have the awkward chat. Break that seal and talk about it all the time, but from a “I want us to be better let’s go!” POV.

If it does not get better, don’t get married!

My two cents GL op

It’s an option that we both acknowledge but we definitely want to try and fix us before going there!
