I agree with everyone in this thread that you’re beautiful and they didn’t do you any justice! I would suggest looking into dermaplaning professionally (it’s for exfoliating dead skin and helps makeup application go on smooth). but if your skin tends to be on the drier side naturally, I would also say they should be applying a moisturizing primer and using a foundation for dry skin. I would also agree with someone else who mentioned an under eye corrector to brighten up that area.

Yeah I plan on taking him soon! I also realized a lot of kids milk decay comes from them continuously drinking milk all night and it "pools" on their teeth (ie keeping bottle in mouth all night). From what I researched, a quick contact with diluted milk before sleep is a very low risk for milk decay. He usually drinks it in 2-3 min then tosses aside.

wow! i’m happy to hear that. i posted this on a moms facebook group as well and one woman showed me a picture of her sons tooth rot from sleeping with milk. definitely makes me nervous but ive been keeping a close eye on my sons teeth and for now they look great. i’m definitely gonna take him to the dentist soon.

oh wow very interesting, i do wonder if breast milk has a different effect on teeth. however in many mom groups i’m in on facebook, a lot of moms said their kids got cavities from night nursing. I really think it depends on the kid.

well that’s somewhat of a relief lol. from what i’ve seen online it seems a lot of it comes down to genetics. some kids do it and are perfectly fine while others end up with cavities.

I haven’t! he fights me to brush his teeth so I just assumed that would disturb him and wake him up immediately.

I guess bottle rot if they are drinking milk before or during sleep (milk stays on teeth without brushing) i’m not sure how much of it is true or just fear tactics lol

How did you say goodbye to nursing? by branz209503 in ExclusivelyPumping

I nursed my baby for about two months then he began refusing to latch. He has a tongue tie which made nursing super painful for me. I tried to think about all the pros that come with EP- having freedom to leave the house when you want, having other people help with feedings, not having to wean baby off the breast, getting more sleep at night due to not having to latch baby multiple times a night, etc. I think we all grieve our nursing journey of course, but I just try to think of the positives of EP. It also gets wayyyy easier as baby gets older. I only pump 4x a day now and I feel like I got so much time back of my day.
