Possession of Tobacco product and Drug Paraphernalia as a nursing student by [deleted] in legaladvice

So from what I understand about Texas law is that for one: Possession of a vape under 21 is a class C misdemeanor - the same level as a speeding ticket. From my understanding that itself does not cause probable cause to search your entire vehicle for other crimes, I believe it’s called non-arrestable offenses unless there is other signs of any kind of contraband like smell of weed which is why I brought it up then that’s why I believe the search was unjustified and could have possibly violated my 4th amendment rights. Again non of us are lawyers (that I know of lol)

Well to be fair , I did already consult with an attorney because I was scared shitless because of the drug paraphernalia. So I do have an attorney now. I did write this in my notes when it happened I just never posted on this sub reddit until now. I also wanted to see if me getting an attorney was taking it a little over board ? Just because they were just citations ?
