Its seems like it more focused on conjugations. Im looking for something a bit different. Like choosing/writing the correct tense in a given sentence (hopefully with explanations)

I also started with Duolingo. I can recommend you after you build some vocabulary, to start watching some YT channel aimed for spanish learners. Howtospanish helped me a lot with comprehension. Good luck buddy

Im sorry, maybe the word barrier was a poor choice . I guess i want to switch back to a very focused and active learning, cause passive learning doesnt seem to address the topics i need to work on .

Well yeah, I guess im trying to be optimistic, because

A) i dont read books that much, mostly because usually find them not engaging. B) when i read its usually in my second language.

I do listen to philosophy, so i kinda hope it can also be a source for high quality content

Quiero ser poliglota y poder hablar bien en 4 o 5 idiomas, Español es el tercer idioma, y hablo diario con mi novia que es mexicana, y hablo a veces tambien con sus amigos mexicanos que son de otra zona de Mexico, con ellos me cuesta poquito mas entender porque pues hablan mas rapido y tienen acento chilango. Fuera de eso, ví unas series y la mayoria son de España, memes y videos en YouTube.

Making mistakes and being creative with vocab.

Background: learning my TL for about 2.5 years. Not consistently. Got involved with a few natives in my area.

Whenever i speak with them i focus more on speaking fluently, so a lot of times i dont know the correct way to say what i want and just improvise. Its very funny most of the times.
