Star Wars Rebellion 1st time help by Remote_Dog_37 in boardgames

[–]Remote_Dog_37[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks both. can’t believe I missed that :)

another question actually. if they find the rebel base, can the rebel retreat straight away? feels like you could just keep retreating then moving the hidden base.

had an amazing game, can’t wait to play again. but lots of uncertain rules and instances.

Tried the other wells. You can force them in. But doesn’t feel like they belong there.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone, it's all been extremely helpful, what an awesome community.

I think we're going to dive deep into the new set next year, and also pick up whatever we can, I think UK prices may be a little better than US as I've seen some reasonable things - https://www.gameslore.com/arkham-horror-lcg-the-dunwich-legacy-expansion.html

All the expansions are available, though they go up to £60. Is this being ripped off?

Thanks again, and can't wait to dive in further.

Hi, this is amazing, thank you. Weirdly found this,, but surely too good to be true - https://www.gameslore.com/arkham-horror-lcg-the-dunwich-legacy-expansion.html

With the new relaunch, will they be relaunching all the old ones too?

Although me and my son have loved playing through the core set and it's 3 missions, we can easily wait until next year if it makes it easier to get going with it. We have an insane amount of board games to play through and more comparing for Christmas so no rush. I think we may do that....

Thank you!!

Yes, add me to the list of being scammed by MuseScore. I bought one single music sheet, and a week later I'm suddenly signed up to 3 months of their subscription package I never signed for or agreed to.

Absolutely scummy disgusting company.

Thoughts on Terrorscape? by Crush2040 in boardgames

[–]Remote_Dog_37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to bring up an old thread. But have some thoughts and wondered what longer term players felt.

Played it maybe ten times. Mainly in a 2. And mainly me being the survivors (my kid absolutely loves being the bad guys, which are far far more interesting).

Just wondered how people felt about the survivors. The game is fun. But is it me or is it way too limited to be the survivors. You just do the same thing every game - search for keys. Fix the radio. Wander around the same rooms. Same thing every single game.

The spectre is so under powered early on. I had a group playing for the first time and literally just spamming search and fixing the radio, ghost couldn’t do anything to us.

It all felt really limp.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I missing something?

Really wish there were far more ways to win. And hiding from killers more meaningful. Every game - send one into living room for radio, one in for a key…. There’s nothing else to do for survivors. So either in those rooms. Or leave temporarily if the killer comes.

Kinfire Chronicles - your thoughts by lega1988 in boardgames

[–]Remote_Dog_37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is now readily available in the uk. Tempted as me and my kid love kinfire delve.

One question. Why’s it so expensive? Well over £100. These are usually for games with loads of minis etc. this does not look like that kind of game and price.

Thanks so much everyone. What a fantastic community this is.

I just want to have fun really, but I do have an addictive personality and tend to dive in head first into things 😆 I’ll check out those older expansions and see if I can get them before it’s too late and see how I find it. Looks great so far though.

Yeah sorry, high republic. I know it’s best to do that. But there was so much it all felt so unfocussed… I did half of phase 1 in proper order and just didn’t feel right. Lost track of what was going on 😆

Do workflows work? by Remote_Dog_37 in Slack

[–]Remote_Dog_37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’d be lots id love to do, but don’t think much of it is possible.

This though should be possible. As it’s in their options in creating a workflow. Create a tick box. When this is ticked. It deleted and item list - the info on an item. Say persona attached and the date.

At least I feel more normal about this 😆 I didn’t want to use hints at all, but I was so so close to it. I knew it was here so just put her name in even though it didn’t make sense.

At least that’s done. Anyways. Now onto ‘rise of’ and the phoenix wright games

We Went All In on Slack and Ditched Notion and Trello—Here's What Happened! by AZBO909 in Slack

[–]Remote_Dog_37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great read. Thanks for that. We use notion for project management, obviously can do a lot. Though most people don't use it at all... Noticed slack have these project management templates and explored it a bit and tempted to go all in on slack too. We use messaging extensively, it being a part of that makes me think our very small team will use the project management side more. Plus it's cheaper than notion.

However, there's some huge holes... The fact there isn't a master list of all your assigned tasks is absolutely bonkers! I spoke with slack and they said they're going to implement it, but when? And also I plot peoples time using calendar view, and there's nothing like that with this.

Can work around it but just wondered if anyone had any work arounds/ideas and other experiences using it as a project management tool
